2. What we collect
We only collect the information needed to provide the core features of the app.
Information you provide
- Email address when you create an account
- Dream logs that you write in the app
- Optional emotional check ins
- Any other content you choose to enter
Automatically collected information
We do not use analytics tools in the app.
We do not collect device identifiers or tracking information.
We only store technical data needed to run your account on our servers such as your user ID and basic server logs for security.
Notification preferences
If you enable the optional Morning Reminder feature we store your notification preference locally on your device.
This preference is used solely to schedule a daily reminder at 8:00 AM to help you record your dreams.
No personal data is collected or transmitted in connection with these notifications.
You can enable or disable this feature at any time in the app settings.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used only to provide the functions of Dreamcatcher.
This includes:
- Letting you store and view your dream logs
- Generating AI interpretations
- Generating AI artwork
- Creating your monthly dream overview
- Supporting core app features
We do not use your data for advertising.
We do not sell your data.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing.
4. AI processing
To generate interpretations and artwork your dream text is securely sent to a trusted AI provider.
Your data is not used to train their public models.
Data is sent only for interpretation or artwork generation and never for any other purpose.
All third party service providers including AI providers are contractually required to protect your data with the same or equivalent standards as outlined in this privacy policy and in compliance with applicable app store guidelines.
These providers may only use your data to provide the specific services we request and are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose including training public models advertising or sharing with other parties.
5. How your data is stored
Your dream logs and account information are stored on secure servers.
We use industry standard protections to keep your data safe.
6. Data sharing
We only share data with:
- Trusted AI processing providers
- Service providers that help us operate the app
We never sell or rent your data.
We do not share data for advertising.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as you have an active account.
If you delete your account all personal data and dream logs will be deleted from our servers.

You can:
- Access your data
- Edit your data
- Delete your account
- Request complete deletion of all stored information
- Ask questions at any time

9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all data at any time.
Deletion is permanent.
Once deleted your dream logs cannot be recovered.
10. Children's privacy
Dreamcatcher is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
11. Updates
We may update this policy when needed but we will always keep it clear and transparent.
Changes will be posted on this page.
